Return to the mothership!
My husband and I met two years ago, in a neighboring city to which we both traveled with common friends...
We didn’t get to know each other much on that weekender. Neither of us were open for building a relationship, but there was undeniable awareness of one another’s wellbeing when we were together. •
A few days later we saw each other again, the group of friends still glowing from our recent adventure. That night he asked me on our first date, unwittingly. He invited a close friend and I to travel two states south for a long weekend of Bass music, lights, dancing, laughter & hanging out. Twist my arm.
Months passed in the interim.
He was a familiar face when the long weekend event came around... but we didn’t know each other by any means.
By day 2 I found myself overcome with a sense of understanding for each other, saying “I feel like we just get each other” though nearly all of our interactions had been part of larger group conversations...
we had fallen magnetically into best friendship. •
This friendship continued to blossom for many months. We made a good team, and everyone around us would comment joyfully about the constant laughter we shared. •
We laughed, we adventured to new places and we fell in love.
A love that is out of this world. A soul shaking, groundbreaking, deep and dedicated love. Together, we decided to marry and manifest our partnership. We agreed to invite our closest family to join us on an upcoming adventure to view the solar eclipse, when we would elope.
We celebrated our loving union with a honeymoon shortly after, another Bass music event like the one he invited me to so many memories ago.... and now today I learned that honeymoon event will be returning to the same place, around the same time, where he has planned for us to celebrate our first year to forever!
I am so grateful for this weird & wonderful life with my love. I cherish that we found each other while wandering, and that we continue to find new adventures to look forward to as a couple!
This is one of the most romantic adventures I’ve had to look forward to, yet!
Up, up, & AWAY! #bassnetwork
