A year ago I took part in the ultramarathon (100km) whilst fasting, to raise awareness for Mental Health and to combat my own crippling depression. It was gruelling and the ultimate test, to test my mental strength and spiritually. It was immensely gruelling. But the way I saw it, I was going through hell and I had to keep going. What's the point of telling yourself you're strong, when you haven't even put it to the test to prove it to yourself.
