I believed them. That’s why I didn’t quit my job sooner. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
So I quit my job. And since then, I’ve realised how untrue it is that mixing your passion and your career is a bad idea. In fact, I think it is the best idea there possibly is. Why do something you hate when you spend almost half of your waking hours working...?! β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
I think the main reason the person who said I shouldn’t do it said it because they never knew what it truly feels like to LOVE your job. To wake up every single day, excited. Excited because you love what you do & are having a positive impact in the world. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
And that’s why I am so passionate about helping other people break out of the cycle. You know you have so much to give to the world, so stop being afraid to jump fully into it. Take it from me: if I’d never have quit that job, I’d still be sitting in that office doing mundane tasks everyday. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € β €β €I wouldn’t be helping thousands of people in my own special way within both their fitness & their business

Still can’t bring myself to full on take a photo of myself in public haha! But got week 3 pwr legs and abs done and now they are on πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ I love feeling empowered now when I step foot into the gym because of the @sweat app and @kelseywells regimen. Seriously still can’t believe that I am using big scary weights and not rushing through the moves like I did before because I don’t know if what I’m doing is correct and because I don’t want others to stare! Learning to breathe, take my time to look at what I’m going to be doing, ensure proper posture, and constantly reminding myself that it’s okay to start light and work my way up. Biceps and quads are starting to grow!

What's your favorite kind of #vegancookie These gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are made with raw applesauce means that they are sweet with very little added sugar which, might make these the best gluten-free chocolate chip cookies ever! Did you know that apples are a great source of Vitamin C?

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups almond flour
2 1/4 cups brown rice flour
1 cup Instant Raw Applesauce
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt
3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350Β°F.
In a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients with a spoon.
Add in vanilla extract, applesauce, maple syrup and combine thoroughly using a hand mixer. Or if you want an arm workout, put all vegan ingredients into a large bowl and stir it up!
Mix in chocolate chips with a spoon.
Bake for 6 - 8 minutes. .

So happy to get a LISS in at my apartment gym! Honestly, it was hard watching others on the treadmill...I was tempted to hop on it when the first person left, but I'm sticking with what was recommended by the ankle specialist. I used the smaller brace on the bike! I didn't make the resistance too hard as I've hardly biked. I do need to engage in it more for endurance...I've said it before....and here I am complaining! 😊 Need to take advantage of this opportunity! It did bring back fun memories of taking my bike through the neighborhood in elementary school! Do kids even do that anymore?! 😊
I made sure I went fast and got sweaty! Never felt my ankle so that was awesome! Less swelling today, but right side of my ankle bone still sore to touch. Slowly, but surely! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—πŸ‘Š

Small changes over a long period of time are how I’ve gotten to where I am today. Unfortunately there is no β€œquick fix” or β€œsecret diet” that has helped me get to where I am. It’s commitment, consistency, accountability, and an open mind! β€’
Almost a year and a half ago, Ash and I started this fitness journey which has also led to healthier eating habits. Getting started was one of the hardest things we had ever done, both mentally and physically but knew if we kept with it, each day would get a little bit easier and in return, we would get a little bit stronger. We both started with just 10 minutes a day a couple days a week. That small change evolved to consistent workouts 5-6 days a week with intuitive eating habits, mostly made up of real food options. We know life happens and it’s a sustainable lifestyle we are going for, so we don’t deprive ourselves of anything but instead, enjoy things in moderation. Surprisingly, we have learned that most of the time we now chose not to put junk in our bodies bc of the way it makes us feel! β€’

Ok this post is long over due🚨 Sorry I’ve been MIA! This weekend my twin brother and I graduated from different universities so I was very busy with that but just as things were about to die down.. I was dying with it!!! I’ve been really sick so if you’ve been keeping up with my IGstories you’d know what’s good with all that... but it’s that blob life, barley leavin your apartment let alone BED, type illness. Thank you to everyone who’s been so sweet to me in the DMs, I love y’all. Mega huge shout out to my family and friends IRL who’ve been on the other end of my texting/ phone calls keeping me occupied during my days filled with nothingness LOL. Unbalance vs balance... .

In the picture on the left I was living a life of complete unbalance when it comes to my health. I ate whatever I wanted, when I wanted, I overate constantly, I worked out for 3 hours 4 times a week, and I struggled with IBS. .

The picture on the right was taken today after my brother and I completed our workout in the backyard of the Air BnB we are staying at while on vacation. .
.
Today I lead a life of almost complete balance. I workout for about 30 minutes a day (that’s it!), I eat the proper proportions of food groups throughout the day while also enjoying a treat here and there, and I rarely ever struggle with IBS issues anymore! .

I did not get here over night - I promise you that, but I did get here with consistent trial and error and effort! .

I have finally found what works for me and now I want to help you find what works for you!! .

My family had mash potatoes for dinner and I really wanted them & I didn’t eat any! Hi fitfam! Last Wednesday we explored the rest of Iceland’s southern region up to the eastern region. Our drive led us to the cutest coastal town, but to get there, we did THE most terrifying drive of my life. We were in a tiny compact, on an unpaved, uneven, rocky road, through the mountains...without any railings to keep you from plummeting to your death. Oh and we were lucky enough to make this drive in a lovely wintery-mix 😏 Literally white-knuckled it all the way there πŸ™ƒ But it was worth it because we got to explore the mountain tops and felt as though we were on top of the world! We ended our day by drinking beers on the porch of our quaint little cabin with so much character it hurt! And explored her beautiful property! I got 99 problems and they’re all my sore muscles. 😩πŸ’ͺ😩

I am back to actively working out at least 4 times a week, and I am loving all the benefits. I feel stronger, leaner, happier and healthier. But with all those feelings comes constant muscle soreness, and stiff joints. ....
I think a lot of this is due to having a physically demanding job, and if I’m being completely honest my age. Even though my brain thinks I am still in my twenties, the truth is I’m now in my 40’s and my body is starting to feel it. ....
I refuse to give up on all the benefits of exercise though, and I just don’t see the same benefits without all the squats, burpees, and lunges involved so my question is what helps you to relieve your sore muscles or joint stiffness, and what are your favourite remedies? πŸ›€πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ›Œ #soremuscles #gettingfitagain #doms
