So here’s the thing: cardio is hard my friends. The sweat is real. If you want to lose weight/get lean, ya gotta do cardio. Because you know what?! You’ll feel so much better after you do it! 💪🏻 Day 6 round 2: heart rate stayed below 170bpm (win!), abs poppin, sweat fest, and finished a 30 minute workout in 24 ✅ Oh! And still can’t do a damn mule kick with a hang time 😡

Carrot and cucumber and beetroot 🧡💚💜 Today I’ve been in work for half a day, then mooched on over to the gym for a get back into powerlifting session with one of the trainers, then cycled on home and had a good long nap! 😂 Also being a good girl and doing as my physio says and foam rolled my left leg IT band. Fucking ouch! As I can’t be bothered to cook a proper dinner, I just cut up some veggies and snacked on those with some hummus. Yummy.
Half day of work again tomorrow then potentially gym again. What a way to spend the weekend. 😎

Tomorrow is the big day! I got my number today and the reality of what I’m doing has started to sink in... the biggest of thank yous goes out to my number one fan @rorylomas. From telling me off for eating too much chocolate, to reminding me to eat enough carbs. The daily encouragements, wishing me good luck for every run (even the little 5km) to never letting me forget I can do this. I could not have got through all this training without you, and I can’t wait to see you when I cross the finish line. I love you ❤️ .

Happppppy Saturday!! So you know I posted that I was a bit gutted this week because the brakes on my bike broke? They’re fixed! I’m so so happy to have my bike back 😍 I was slightly stressed about getting it fixed because 1) I have no bike fixing skills 🙈 and 2) I have no French language skills 😂 Somehow I managed to get it fixed at a great bike repair shop though yayyyyy! I have to say that I’m very happy that I don’t have to walk or get the tram into work on Monday 😂
Anyway you know life is good when your only stress is broken bike brakes 😂 Being in Toulouse for the last 6 weeks has been the dream! I love living in London but Toulouse is such a beautiful, relaxed city and being able to do things like cycling to work has been the dream (I think I’d be too scared to cycle in London 😂😂). After a night out last night, I didn’t make it to the gym this morning! 🙈😂 I’m heading to yoga in the morning though and I can’t wait to try a new class out here!

So I awoke this morning with a dodgy knee *due to poor form yesterday* and ruled myself out of any form of plyometric shizz this morning at my beloved #circuittraining Saturday... That was until I turned up and learned it was 2 minutes per station; 20 reps per abs move and 10 per plyo move ... burpees, jump lunges and numerous varieties of jump squats ... followed by 1 minute of running 😳 I did it. I did it all 😊 Aaand it turns out that focusing on good form and maintaining a slow and steady rhythm yet again worked wonders for me.... HOLY CR*P BALLS ... it hurt. It hurt a lot BUT I did it and I'd do it again which says something right?! Anywho tomorrow is a #farmgirl rest day so no doubt there will be a few Insta stories and a few coffees involved... This winter, I “gained” 5 kilos. And you know what? What I gain were muscles! I look stronger and my fat percentage is lower than last year 🙌🏻
Before you ask me, it’s about training and good eating 🍽️🏋🏻‍♀️
I usually eat every 3 hours and I train 6 times per week with heavy lifting and cardio.
So this is the little #transformation I took in one month 🤷🏻‍♀️ hips, waist and legs look smaller 🎉

Now, as for that extra weight I’m currently carrying... I know what I did (and didn’t do) to gain it, and I know what I need to do to get it back off. I have done it before and I know that I can do it again. All of us lose focus from time to time, some for longer than others. I should have dealt with this sooner, but I’m not going to dwell on should or shouldn’t. All I can do is move forward and do better. I will: keep my head down, be kind, focus on myself, be patient, work hard, be consistent... and I will get results. Just wait and watch 💪🏼 "

Found wild salmon today 🐟 So my dinner of the day was this yummy bowl with butternut squash, roasted purple broccoli, roasted onion, roasted cherry tomatoes, beetroot salad, wild rocket, tricolour quinoa and a bit of sweet corn topped with tahini dressing! Yummm

I couldn't get out of bed this morning. I'm sure it was because my heart was heavier than usual. I didn't hear scratching on the bedroom door or a raspy meow telling me to wake up. I didn't have my morning snuggle sesh or morning conversation because a part of my family is missing. If you have ever lost a pet, it is OKAY to grieve the same way as if you lost a person. It takes a toll on you emotionally and your body will feel that. So I'm taking care of me today. I'm starting my 3 day cleanse post-vacay, drinking my superfoods, stretching, breathing, meditating, crying. Whatever I need to do for me. *p.s. if you're in my inbox about joining our team or fit fam I will be getting in there today, don't worry I got you!*

I have absolutely no idea when the last time I worked out on a Friday, it's normally my rest day 🤔 Buuuut ladies and gents that lady up there ☝️ can proudly post a #flexfriday #postworkoutselfie and say that she's proud of herself and all she has achieved 😊 But this is just the start.
