Just one month ago I underwent a bilateral mastectomy surgery, and the recovery was rough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had four drains post surgery that were incredibly painful and anyone that's ever had them will tell you, they are complete hell. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I could barely walk from room to room and even fell once because I was too weak to move around on my own.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last week during my trip to Disney World, I walked over 37 miles. Something that I never thought I'd be able to do anytime soon at all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I ended up getting major swelling and thought it was just a sign of doing too much too soon (which is what I'm still hoping for)... But after my appointment with my oncologist yesterday and some abnormal lab work, there is a concern for my liver because the type of cancer I had tends to metastasize there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While I was super excited that I finally had energy again to do all of the things that I used to, I may have pushed myself before I was ready because I was just too eager to put all that cancer bs behind me! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My CT scan is tomorrow and I'm hoping with every ounce of my being that it's not that nightmare again.
