In preparation for his Solo OnLine Pop Up Release on Thursday, we sat down and dug a little deeper with @jeremyfowler_art to find out what inspires him.
Q: how long of you been painting?
A: I first started painting back in the early 90s, but I painted sparingly. Most of my time back then was spent drumming in bands. Since I’ve been teaching art, I’ve rediscovered my visual artistic side and have gained a newfound interest and love for painting.
Q: Which painters in the past and present day have been influential to you?
A: I’ve always loved the impressionist painters and I really love teaching my students about Picasso. He helped bring Cubism/abstract art to the forefront. Some current artist that influence me or some of the ones I follow on Instagram, honestly. There are quite a few, but Holly Storie, Hester Berry, and my good friend Wayne Brezinka are some.
Q: what’s your routine for getting creative?
A: I rely heavily on music. Putting on some relaxing music helps me get into the right mindset.
