#bighorn50k was a complete mudfest... per usual. While my training was less than ideal (aka nonexistent) due to six weeks off from plantar fasciitis, I really cannot complain about completing the race and running strong through the finish. Definitely a lesson in mental toughness and having really great race support.
That's me still running past the finish line at the Bighorn 100. Took me 32 hours and 19 minutes to finish. Not my fastest 100 but definitely one of the more memorable ones. So much mean mud to slop through I wss fortunate to finish. No more races this year but I have one big project for later in the summer... #bighorn100#bighorntrailrun#bighornmountains
Fathers Day Hike #2 ... Medicine Wheel Trail. This was an easy hike that ended at the amazing Bighorn Medicine Wheel. No one knows who built the wheel or even when and it is still used by the local Native Americans for fasting and vision quests. It was amazing seeing the different animal bones and offerings and prayers left behind by others. •
