Look at this adorable family who adopted Trae and Jaden. It makes my heart so very happy to see not one but two black kittens going to their furrever home.
Statistics for black cats making it out of a shelter are not good as they are often over looked by potential adopters because of their color and many black cats will find themselves on the top the of the euthanasia list.
Having personal experience with a black cat in my crew, I am listing the top five reasons why you should adopt a black cat. 1) Black goes with everything!! So if you like to wear lots of black, you won’t have to be so careful about vacuuming or lint-rolling cat hair as with a light-colored cat. 2) You can practice your photography skills with a black cat. I can speak first hand that it is infinitely more difficult to take a great photo of a black cat, but when I do manage to get one, I feel super proud of my photography skills. 3) Black cats are not any more unlucky than other kind of cat. In fact, in some parts of the world black cats are actually considered to be lucky!
4) Black cats are actually quite striking and most black cats are not entirely black. Look closely at their coats and you will see shades of auburn or grey mixed in. 5) The best reason to adopt a black cat is you are saving a life because black cats are the least likely to be adopted even though they are some of sweetest cats you will ever meet.
Please consider opening your heart and home to a black cat.
