EXPRESS RALLY EXPERIENCE “I’ve followed express rally for some time through social media and have a few friends here and there in the car scene that have been a part of these events before. It sure did look like a lot of fun from afar, but I had no idea what level of awesomeness that was in store.
From start to finish; the event was a handcrafted experience. I didn’t have a lot to judge by on as far as what to expect but one thing was clear, this was a very well-organized event. With 40 cars I was somewhat expecting a level of chaos and disorder; NOPE. Every route, every stop and every detail was carefully thought out and it was apparent in the experience we all had.
I’ve been a fan of cars almost my entire life and If it flies, drives, or goes fast; that’s right up my alley. Meeting car friends isn’t always the easiest either. Going to shows by yourself, the chances of meeting people or making friends is hit and miss at best.
Being able to attend an event, with people who are all there for the same reason was amazing. We were all there to have a great time, drive our cars in ways you wouldn’t normally get to with the events planned, and just be around good people.
The people are what made the weekend what it was. Coming in, I only knew 2 people prior to the start of the rally. The day before I was invited over to get cars ready and meet some of the crew and this set the pace all weekend. Everyone was open and welcoming and I made so many friends over the weekend because of it. I’m hooked and can’t wait for the next one… or all of them.
Good People, Good Cars, Good Fun” - Andrew Rester, Audi RS5
