i finally started going to the gym again. i am very excited and motivated. what i demonstrate in this video is a technique called static contraction. in a nutshell, you will lift around 85% of the maximum weight you can handle and hold it for 10 seconds. you will not push all of the way, but around 3/5 to 3/4. if you can hold it for longer than 10 seconds, your load is too light. you should really be struggling at around 8 seconds, slowly pulling back then. if you try it, i would appreciate if you’d let me know how it goes.

We all know that your priorities are going to be nutrition & exercise! Let's talk about specifics ⤵️

BURNING FAT
🍎: Priority 1: NUTRITION! If you are eating more calories then you are burning, you will not lose weight. Period.

💪Priority 2:HIIT TRAINING! This means alternating a brief period of high-intensity exercise with brief rest periods. By doing these workouts, you will burn more calories in less time.

🚴‍♂️Priority 3: CARDIO

Cardio is great for a slow steady burn! It takes 3500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat, so spending an hour and burning 800 calories is a good contributing factor but it shouldn't be you main focus.

BUILDING MUSCLE

🏋️️‍♂️Priority 1: TRAINING. In order to build muscle, you need to focus on your workout program! Stay consistent and workout consistently! Eating 23 million grams of protein won't help you if you aren't strength training AT LEAST 3-days per week. ⠀
🍳: Priority 2: EATING. Eat a lot of food that is healthy and high in protein. You need to eat more calories than you are burning per day. It’s that simple.

🔑Priority 3: VOLUME: Once you have the exercise & diet down, the volume is key. Progressive overload will do amazing things.

Volume= Sets x Reps x Weight.

Strategically increasing your sets, reps, & weights will increase your volume and you will see progress.
