Happy Wednesday everyone!
Let's talk about why did I take a break from social media in May?
The thing is... social media plays a important part in our lives nowadays. We can't simply do without it. It's not about being a part of a new app or going with the trends of the time. We are way past that. Now social media, to some extent, has become a necessity. Today, people only talk to you through social media, so even if you don't want to, you inevitably become a part of it. But then there comes a time when it becomes too much to handle. At the end, social media is not all roses. Last year, I had a time of frustration with the pressure of posting every day to keep you all in the loop. Even then I took a break and came back with full vigor. Recently, I again felt that I am going in that mood, and I didn't want to go down that lane. So before it could strike me, I hit it back. I took the break, got my brain into place, not only with Instagram but with reading, writing, the extra bits here and there, and life in general. I want to enjoy what I do and for that I have to stay sane. That is why I took a break.
There's this worry that if I take a break I might loose some of you guys, some followers as Instagram terms us. I may, I may not. But is having followers more important than my sanity? And anyway, as the saying goes, those who mind, don't matter and those who matter, don't mind. Which is true because you all are still here, aren't you?
So if you ever feel like taking a break, please do! We'll be here when you're back.
