Box jumps! Why I love em.. .
Jumping increases your strength and muscle tone, and builds both upper body and lower body strength like crazy. Box jumps force you to jump high enough that you’re forced to use every single muscle in your legs (as well as your arms) to propel you up.
They’ll work your butt and hips. I believe every that for someone striving to be a great overall athlete should definitely have strong glutes and hips! A whole lot of power comes from the butt!
The gluteal muscles (butt muscle) are a group of three muscles which make up the buttocks: the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. Get them strong and loose with box jumps!! The box/platform doesn’t have to be so high. It’s should be challenging to jump up and perform with high repetitions.
I’d put it right up there with pull ups and burpees as one of the most badass exercises ever.🤙
