Those of you that know about the Bo Hart story can answer this question but those who don't won't know what the hell I'm talking about. Bo Hart started his MLB career off with a bang getting 28 hits in his 1st 15 games. After that he came back to Earth but was still a very solid player for the rest of the season. Aledmys Diaz didn't start off quite as hot as Hart but Diaz overall had a much better Rookie season than Hart. 2016 was Diaz's rookie season & he played in 111 G'S, with 121 H'S, 17 HR'S, 65 RBI, & a .300 BA earning his 1st career ASG selection & finished in 5th place for Rookie of the Year! After that very good Rookie season by Diaz he has had a down year. His stats aren't awful but he's mainly been struggling with plate discipline all season which led to a demotion to the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals AAA affiliate). Diaz this season has played in 71 G'S, with 71 H'S, 7 HR'S, 20 RBI, & a .260 BA. Diaz in his rookie season walked 41 times & struck out only 60 times finishing with a very good OBP of .369. This season Diaz has walked only 13 times & has struck out 41 times. Things haven't gotten much better for Diaz in Memphis either in 29 G'S with the Redbirds he has walked only 4 times & struck out 18 times. Hart in his rookie season which was 2003 played in 77 G'S, with 82 H'S, 4 HR'S, 28 RBI, & a .277 BA. Following his rookie season he played in only 11 G'S, with 2 H'S, 0 HR'S, 2 RBI, & a .154 BA. Both these players were expected to make big impacts on there teams after there solid rookie seasons but each have not come close to that. So my question for you guys is Aledmys Diaz the next Bo Hart? Leave your thoughts down below!
