The ritual of circumcision is a religious tradition. This ceremony first appeared in the Arab countries, and then spread to all Muslim peoples. The Sundet ,is considered an important and joyful event in the life of the boy.
Circumcision was done when the boys were at odd age - 3, 5 or 7 years. Before embarking on this ceremony, the boy was dressed in the best clothes and put on horseback. Then, on the apron of his saddle or croup of horses, hurdjun with food was hung, after which one of the adults, having taken the horse's bridle, went to visit all the relatives. Everywhere the boy was greeted with joy and treated to the hurdjun, tied to his clothes and to the mane, neck, tail, as well as equipping the horse, pieces of cloth and bright ribbons. Upon his return, the boy was laid on a clean bed, the mullah circumcised him. Parents on this occasion arranged a big holiday with horse races, goat and other games. Native, congratulating the boy. gave him money, gave him various valuables or cattle.
Before the circumcision, the boy was finally sheared off the Aidar. After the circumcision ceremony, the boy became not just a member of the religious community, but also moved to the next age group.
Approximately at the same age (about 7-8 years), the girls stopped shaving their head and began to grow their hair, and braided in braids in pigtails.
