This husky beast of a bar was brought to me from Spain by my friend @deana_in_pink
The wrapper is heavy butcher paper style, with some beautiful artwork. There’s no fancy way to the chocolate, you just tear the paper, and are greeted with this huge, rough bar that looks like handmade fudge. It’s rock-solid, and smells of vanilla and cinnamon. It’s hard enough, that you need to bite in with your molars so you don’t chip one of your teeth...and the taste is incredible. The cinnamon and vanilla are there, with a dark fudge sweetness and slight smokiness, all with a gritty, stoneground texture. The chocolate melts quickly, and the different flavors fade quickly so that only the chocolate remains.
After going through half of the bar, trying not to chip my teeth, I realized it’s actually meant to be hot chocolate...haha, okay. I scraped some off easily with a grater, and it makes for some wonderful mocha. I think chomping on the bar was far more satisfying, though. Yum!
