I have very fond memories of arcades. When we lived in Singapore, my brother and I would spend hours pumping quarters into machines at the American Club while everyone else was swimming... playing classics like ‘Darkstalkers’ and ‘Primal Rage’. Back in the states, whenever we’d get dragged to a mall by our parents, we’d hang out in the arcades playing ‘Mortal Kombat 3’, ‘Alien vs Predator’, ‘X-Men’, ‘G.I. Joe’ and ‘Cruis’n World’.
Nowadays arcades, such as this one at Belmont Park, are becoming harder and harder to come by and the games themselves cost a lot more to play but that still didn’t stop me from reverting to my childhood-self & going inside to spend $10... reliving all the nostalgia and feeling like a kid again.
