This is a memory that will stick with me forever. On my second to last day in #Ranthambhore #NationalPark, Arrowhead (T84) followed our jeep for over 2kms. We would pull ahead about 40m, stop the jeep, and within about a minute, she would be only 1-2m from me. We would then pull ahead, give her space, and start the process all over again. She’s a beautiful bold cat, but that isn’t the point of this story. In the back seat of the jeep with me was a 16 year old girl and her 5 year old sister. Each time the #tigress got within 1m of us, the poor little girl would get so scared. But each time, I turned to her, smiled, told her she was ok, and gave her a big thumbs up. After about the tenth interaction, her nervousness turned into excitement and soon she started giving me thumbs up and her look of panic quickly transitioned into excitement and passion. To me, this was an indication of the importance of getting out into nature and experiencing it. An animal that she was once so terrified of now is an animal that she is fascinated by and who knows, maybe one day in the future she will do something that will positively impact of the plight of the #tiger.
