Tonight’s discovery dinner pick was Pie Tap at Park/Preston (what was it before? Totally blanking although I’d been a zillion times!) DECOR: They have a covered patio with heaters but we got a table inside. No wait, but they were pretty full. I that you could see into the kitchen & could even choose to eat at a bar looking into the kitchen. I’d do that the next time I think just because that’s cool. DRINKS: They have lots of beer on tap but also lots of wines! Kinda fun. Also a fun cocktail list, but we opted for on tap wine & beer ! APPETIZERS : looked interesting but we weren’t overly hungry so we didn’t try one. DINNER: we shared Workshop salad which was a yummy combo including salami, roasted peppers, pepperoncini, bacon, and provolone. Yummm! We also shared the Sausage Pizza with carmemized onions & got the pizza dipping sauce trio (dill ricotta ranch, marinara, and goat cheese fondue). Also yummy! SERVICE: friendly & attentive without being intrusive!! DESSERT: looked good but we weren’t hungry enough to order. I thought it was a fun spot & would definitely go back. I think Paul prefers pizza with more sauce, but still liked it.
We stopped at Starbucks on the way home & now we’re finishing the night on the couch watching the recorded Orange-White game. I hope Texas can win this one. 🤟 Have ya been to Pietap? What’d ya think? What new spots are you loving?
