Got some rainy and cloudy weather in the district today, and it's making me want to snuggle up like these two (hmu for all the cozy in home sessions like this )and watch a movie. But alas - there's work to do!
Speaking of snuggles - have you guys ever heard of the 5 love languages? They're so fascinating to me. Basically, this super smart guy named Gary Chapman wrote this book called The 5 Love Languages where he lays out 5 different - you guessed it! - "love languages". He says that each person has a primary language in which they give and receive love in. So if you understand what both your own and your significant other's language is (or literally anyone for that matter) - it's pretty dang helpful!
The 5 love languages are:
- Words of affirmation: Words are huge for these people. They'll build you up and they need you to build them up, too.
- Acts of service: Actions speak louder than words. They're always looking for ways to serve the people they love and feel the most loved when someone does the same for them.
- Quality time: They feel the most loved when you're taking the time to intentionally spend time with them.
- Physical touch: Aka allll the snuggles and hugs.
- Gifts: It doesn't have to be expensive or grand, but just a little something to let them know that you were thinking of them.
I'm a quality time gal first and foremost. I just like being around people, and when you're intentionally taking the time out of your day to hang out with me - that means you've gotta at least like me, right?
I'm super curious what your love languages are! If you don't know, you can go take a free quiz at 5lovelanguages.com and it'll give you a score for each of your languages! Go take it, and then let me know which one you scored highest for below!!
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”
Go for a walk tonight. Have a seat. Think things through.

All I want in life is a rooftop garden/bar above my apartment. Also a dog or three. Let’s add a pool for us all to swim in. Not asking for a lot.
