The Post Show Pig Out
Reece’s and pancakes and cookies OH MY! Our brains go CRAZY after show prep. We are no longer mentally restricted from all the treats, our bodies are depleted and craving fats, sugars, and carbs; and if anyone were to tell me they weren’t thinking about food, I’d think they were lying!
Yesterday I had a talk with my coach because I was feeling guilty for eating badly the last three days Whoops! I have a very categorized way of looking at foods as good or bad. When I eat foods that have been labeled Fattening, processed, junky, etc. I feel immense guilt. During this conversation he brought up a very important word MODERATION
Now we’ve all heard this word, but this morning it really got me thinking. I LOVE vegetables. However, I have eaten so many before that it made my stomach hurt. ♀️I’m a weirdo, I know! But it made me think ALL THINGS whether good or bad CAN be consumed by the body, BUT none of them should be consumed in EXCESS. So I realized...
IT IS NOT WRONG TO ENJOY A TREAT
This isn’t something you need to hide or beat yourself up for. However that being said, it’s not healthy to eat these things until your stomach hurts
I wanted to share this today because this morning I made myself a promise to eat 100% to my new off season plan. Not as a way to restrict myself, but to re get into the routine of eating healthy and to FEEL how much better my body works when it’s being fueled properly. I feel that sharing these goals with others holds you accountable and that’s something that keeps me motivated
Does anyone else struggle with getting back on plan after a show
