Fellow mamas know what I mean by “witching hour”. For some of us, it’s the hour before dinner, for others it’s the hour before bedtime. The kids are a little extra cray, maybe some tantrums are going down, mama is t-i-r-e-d from a long day. The perfect storm of emotions!
Enter in our beloved essential oils. My mama bag-o-tricks got a MAJOR upgrade when I started investing in our wellness, and building our essential oils collection!
Below are some of my favorite oils to support mama and the littles through that dreaded time of day, when patience is running thin!
++Stress Away & Lavender++
Go ahead and bring out the big guns. I like to have more than one diffuser running in our living room with 5 drops of Stress Away and 3 drops of Lavender in each of them. The whole family gets to benefit by breathing in and smelling these calming oils.
++Bergamot & Joy++
These are for you, Mama! Happy oils to the max! Unscrew the cap and hold these up to your nose. I want you to take in three nice long deep breaths. Next, you’re going to roll these on liberally. On your chest/ over your heart and on the insides of your wrists. Mama emotions supported, check!
++Peace & Calming++
The tantrum tamer sent from heaven above! Make this a fun routine that you and your littles can do together. Based on their age, make a roller that is properly diluted of Peace & Calming. Whip this bad boy out and roll it on their chest, down their spine and the bottoms of their feet. See if you can get them to take a nice whiff from the roller!
For extra support for mama, drop or roll a bit of Peace & Calming into the palms of your hand, rub them together until all of the oil is almost absorbed, take a big whiff from your cupped hands, and then rub your hands through the ends of your hair. #hairdiffuser You’ll smell Peace & Calming every time you turn your head!
