This is a window. A window in a shower. It’s not the most uncommon but typically and ideally they would be smaller and higher or otherwise done intentionally very different. This is a @harveybuildingproducts replacement insert in the existing window frame. If you have a window in your shower and you’ve never had any problems with it than either Zach @dettmore101 installed it, or your not paying enough attention to realize it. This window trim and it’s frame were quite rotten so we cut everything out removed the window temporarily, cleaned and dried the rough opening, installed PVC to replace the frame, reinstalled the window, and then installed and sealed new PVC stops and casing. On an old house like this one with an aging bathroom unfortunately problems can be inevitable and unless your willing to renovate the space, the fixes can be slightly less than ideal which is why this becomes a challenge for us playing with that happy medium. Keep an eye for things like this because mold that you can’t see can be very bad for your health and not mention there can be more than meets the eye behind the trim as there was for me if your not careful! .

Strength training does a body good, but more importantly, so does proper form. Make sure your sets are challenging because you don't want to train like a pansy. On the flip side, never compromise your form. If bodyweight or resistance bands are all you can handle for now, then so be it. Like I've said previously, just do what you can 😉

Alright, so here’s what my typical chest & back workout looks like. I don’t have a gym membership and I only have two 52.5 lbs. adjustable dumbbells, two 12lb DBs, two 10lb DBs, one 25lb DB, and a bench. As you can see. I don’t use insanely heavy weights. I use what I have right now and just go for reps. It was taken in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, where Parley and collaborators are working hand in hand with the military and public workers from the city council. Over 500 public workers have been mobilized for this cleanup operation.

All recovered plastics will go to Parley. So far, after 3 days of cleanups we have intercepted over 30 tons of plastic materials from ending up in a landfill or back in the oceans.

Enjoying the slightly cooler weather we have had the past few days and spending it outdoors with the kids. I wish I could’ve gotten a run in with this cooler weather but that didn’t work out. Oh well, I have gotten in some awesome cross training sessions in my garage. Today I totally blew my previous record of calories burned in a HIIt session, topping out at 600! I’m glad that when I can’t hit the pavement or trails that I can always get in a good sweat session with all the programs available to me. Only four more workouts left till I start a new one! Feeling pumped!

Opened up on my stories while making supper about how it can be a struggle to eat healthy when you're stressed.. Our fridge was pretty empty but I was able to scrounge together this burrito bowl/taco salad/burger salad concoction 🥗

Not every meal has to be pretty or complicated! I overcooked the meat + the salsa was a little too spicy but hey, we were still able to nourish our bodies with real, whole foods, so I'm happy 🤩

ALMOST didn't make it to the gym, but I made it happen, face 😊

After a fairly stressful, very long day at work, I was mentally exhausted, which often leads me to feel physically exhausted. Tired mind >> tired body >> lack of motivation to go to the gym.. Recalling how I KNOW I'll feel after is usually what gets me to just get up and go.

I will also tell myself that I don't have to go for long-- I can just go for 30 minutes if I want to. Some days like today it'll be short and sweet and other days I'll end up staying way longer and surprise myself with a great workout. Regardless, even 15 minutes is better than none, so it's always a win.

Never do I leave the gym and think, man I wish I would've just stayed home. I always feel so much better, so much more relaxed if I was stressed, and it sets me up for a much better evening and next morning! .

185x7 and then 205x3 paused all beltless cause I’m a lil baddie.

Last week was bad. My mom went into the hospital with chest pains last Monday and several days later we found out she had a heart attack and had to get a stent put in. I tried to workout twice but between the worry of waiting for updates and taking unplanned trips two hours away where mom lives, everything in me was tired and I had no fight. But thankfully my mom is home and feeling good and we’re all finally recharged from a crazy and stressful week so that means we get back in and squat!
What I want to stress here is that missing the gym is not something you should ever feel guilty about. There was a time where in the midst of all of this I would’ve been TERRIFIED at taking time off from the gym and “backtracking”, but I promise you there are things that are more important, and in this case it was seeing my family and mentally taking it easy. Injury does not have to mean sedentariness (sitting on your butt). It does not have to mean fearing movement. It can mean opportunity. Opportunity to:
-strengthen your weaknesses
-fine-tune your strengths
-scale the load, scale the intensity but never the drive -find new passions
-diversify your efforts and push your margins
-dial-in your nutrition so you give your body the building blocks it needs to rebuild. -find the people, the community that will give you the tools and support you need to come back stronger and wiser, no matter how long it may take. Engage your hamstring and calf, and keep your feet pointed. Lift towards the ceiling, making sure not to bend your knees more than they already are. ✔️ Combine with #locustpose to interact with your upper body ✔️ Great for releasing emotional energy ✔️ Engages the core 👉 Add music and keep it fun 👉 Vary the speed of lifting and lowering each leg.

ZERO WASTE HAUL // It's #plasticfreejuly and despite my best efforts, I'm creating more plastic waste than I usually do 'cause I'm spending the month in a small town in northern Norway. Most of the produce sold here is imported and plastic wrapped, and the selection is limited compared to what I have available of organic and vegan food in Bergen🌿 But it keeps getting better and I try to do my best anyways with what I have available. Here's my shopping cart today: In the front is my reusable tote bags that I use to carry my groceries. I found lots of fresh fruit in bulk and store them in reusable cloth bags (I keep them open so it's easy for the cashier to see what's inside and close them once I've paid. I don't bother about taring them in regular supermarkets 'cause it's not common practice there)🍍I try to find the solution with the lowest waste created when I can't buy it in bulk, like coconut oil in a reusable glass jar with a metal lid or oats in a recyclable paper bag♻️My family grow salad in their garden, so we don't have to supplement as often during summer with the plastic wrapped store bought ones as we do during winter🌿 I also picked up fresh berries in plastic baskets (as the season has yet to start here), but didn't put them in those thin plastic bags to avoid what waste I could. I simply carry these in my hands out of the store🍓It's not much, but every drop casts a ripple. And when I was paying the cashier burst out 'Oh, I love when customers bring their own reusable bags!' Needless to say, I walked out of there with a grin on my face🙌🏼🌿💦🌍🌸☀️🐰🍎🍌🍉♻️

Couldn't be bothered to go gym.Worked out at home instead.100 feet elevated press ups,100 BB military presses,50 normal press ups,50 bench dips job done.25 minutes approximately.Squeeze everything you can out of every repetition.
