In four months, China installed the equivalent of 10 solar-powered nuclear power plants
China and its "green route" is on the rise, the Asian giant promised to end environmental pollution and it is certainly doing so. One of the main elements of this plan is the use of solar energy and discarding polluting energies.
In the first quarter of 2018, China has installed the equivalent of 10 nuclear power plants in solar energy.
Only in 2017 the installed gigawatios were 52, and for this year it is estimated that the Chinese government will include another 45 gigawatts in the country's electricity grid.
The first reason for the promotion of solar energy is environmental: China emits too much CO2, which contributes to a serious deterioration of the health of its inhabitants. The second reason is geopolitical: the government has interpreted the US withdrawal from the green leadership as an opportunity to extend its influence. Positioning itself as an environmental champion, China aspires to cover the future of sustainable energy and, incidentally, get rid of the heavy dependence of the oil countries.
In the same way, China prohibited the circulation and manufacture of a large number of vehicles that do not comply with the any pollution guidelines, have opted for electric cars and are investing heavily in the creation of electric highways in the country. And the pollution has decreased to surprising levels.
