InterBrasil Star EMB120RT "Brasilia" PP-ISC - August 2011 - CGH.
I know. Terrible photo. But, another one that means lots to me. This is my sole TransBrasil photo, even though the rainbow and marks are covered. TransBrasil was the first airline I flew as a passenger. In 1996, in a Boeing 767-300ER, PT-TAE. GRU-MCO. Then MIA-GRU at the same airplane.
This Brasilia was stored at one of the old VASP hangars at CGH, near the old engines worshop, since TBA left the skies forever (December 2001). I could see her still with the complete livery. But I couldn't take a photo. She was all covered in dust, some fluids ran over the fuselage and some parts missing, including the engines.
Some company (word has it, Sete Linhas Aéreas) purchased the ten-years stored E120, completed it and made a ferry-flight to GYN. Maybe the last one of this aircraft, as no other register was made of her. I saw her taxing for an engine run by chance and I just had my cellphone to try to register this. This was the best I could do. At that time with a (terrible) Motorola Q11.
Trivia: TransBrasil was the first civilian Embraer customer, when, in 1973, received the first E110 "Bandeirante", PT-TBA
InterBrasil Star (Brazil - 2001)
FF: sometime in 1995
Delivered new to TransBrasil/InterBrasil Star in September 1995. Stored in CGH from December 2001 to August/September 2011.
Ferried to GYN in 2011, and fate: unknown for me. Stored? Scrapped? If someone could help me with that... Thanks a lot!
