I receive tons of messages with people asking me if I can help them with their English every week. Of course I can, it’s my profession.
.
.
I’ve taught thousands of students in over 20 years of my teaching career!
.

BUT...
.
It’s my job and OF COURSE it’s not free. Do you get free food? Free clothes? Free TV? Free transport? Free water? If you do, please tell me and I’ll move there! Lol
.
.
I invested THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS in my education, saved money for years to do the courses I wanted. My parents aren’t RICH. .
.
I worked at a pub serving tables to pay for my DELTA in London, I TOOK the stairs and NOBODY gave me anything for free. I WORKED HARD (and still do) to get what I want.
.
.
Do you want to accomplish your dream? Make a plan, work hard, save money and go get it! Respect the professionals that can help you by PAYING them for their efforts.
.
.
Don’t believe in CHEAP or MIRACULOUS offers like “Be fluent in six months or six weeks!?” They are LIES! It takes YEARS to learn a language well. Don’t be a FOOL, take the stairs!
.
End of rant. Happy Friday!

“Pancake Day” or “Shrove Tuesday”
is the day that precedes Ash Wednesday. It is determined by Easter, for which the actual date changes on an annual basis. 🥞
It always falls 47 days before Easter so the date moves but it will always be between February 3 and March 9.
🥞
The name “Shrove Tuesday” comes from 'shrive', meaning absolution for sins by doing penance.
🥞
In the US it's called “Mardi Gras” or “Fat Tuesday” in French mainly because people use up the fatty foods before Lent.
🥞
Pancakes are just a great source of fat but the actual tradition of mixing pancakes is thought to come from a pagan ritual, but others say it is a Christian tradition - with each ingredient representing one of the four pillars of the faith. Eggs for creation, flour sustenance or the staff of life, salt for wholesomeness and milk for purity.
🥞
I love how these traditions & festivities tend to always be related to food!
