One thing photography has taught me is patience. Patience with the toddler that won’t settle, patience with the executive that hates having their picture taken, patience with the awkward teenager. Nothing has taught me more patience than shooting nature
Waiting, waiting, waiting…..active waiting. Because you can’t just sit there. You have to be ready. You have to know your equipment and get the image when it happens.
Shooting nature has also taught me to be patient with myself. When I miss the shot (which happens more than I like to admit) to not beat myself up, but take it as a lesson. Every failed shot teaches me something and makes the ones I nail even more precious.
Thank you @Cedric.Jacquet and @ElyaneVanCoillie for being wonderful teachers and for being models of patience with me and the elephant #wildlife #ginkatravels
