We can't control everything , infact we can't control a lot of things in life , including how we feel. If happiness was a choice then so is depression, anxiety , fear .... . That attitude / thought process , though most say it with good intentions , is SO counterproductive to the mental health movement, and borders on victim blaming. When we tell ourselves that we're denying ourselves the help we deserve, it doesn't mean we need to stay miserable as motivation , of course not it just means we need to accept our feelings and use them as fuel, cause Anything can be fuel to do better , you just have to practice harnessing it. .
. Whatever 'it' may be ; A feeling you're trying to get over - you yourself you're trying to change. . . Don't fake it 'till you make it. Face it 'till you can take it and use it. . .
