Happy Earth day weekend!! One way I'm trying to help contribute to Earth day is lessening my consumption: reusing, recycling, sharing, simplifying. Gratitude for the resources already in my life helps a lot. #repost@thewholewheatclass
This is a brilliant idea to include in a classroom. A peace table! A great place to calm down or to concentrate and think! (: @theartofsecondgrade )
Do you have a student (or several students) who struggle with reading comprehension? When I work with a student who doesn't understand what he reads, I have a step-by-step process that I follow to get him back on track! In today's blog post, I walk you through that exact process. Use the link in my profile to check it out! (@learningattheprimarypond)
My daughter’s first grade teacher gave the class a cool assignment to review a restaurant. Since my mini loves Friday’s that’s what she chose. She had chicken fingers with a side of fries and I got the Beyond Burger with sweet potato fries. The staff at Friday’s enjoyed being interviewed by my 7 yo and were happy to participate. #fridaynight#beyondburger#homework

It's a cool Saturday morning we've got here in Lagos after the thunderous rainfall yesterday. How's the weather at your end? It's weekend, and one of its therapy is shopping. It's been a busy week for my working class mommas, online shopping will sure go a long way to relax your nerves.
Are you pregnant? A nursing mom? Mum to toddlers? Shop Efizzy got you covered.
This year, Desi’s project schedule seems to be aligned with Ryan’s work travel schedule. He’s the one that helps with school projects (it’s because he LOVES school projects ), so I told him this ‘Recyclosaurus’ project HAD to be done before he leaves for China tomorrow. Here it is...Desi’s recycled materials Spinosaurus ‘Spike’. #schoolproject#recyclosaurus#firstgrade
Celebrated Earth Day with our first graders today by being outside ALL day. They ate meals, read books, wrote poems, did yoga, experimented, gardened, and learned without stepping foot into a classroom. It was the best! The kiddos were so engaged, alert, and happy. I’m feeling very thankful the day went well and we weren’t rained on!
