1. Position yourself into a staggered stance with the rear foot elevated and front foot forward.

2. Begin by descending, flexing your knee and hip to lower your body down.

3. Once you are as far down as you can go. Start to pulse up and down a few inches. ^Pro Tip^ Maintain good posture througout the movement. Keep the front knee in line with the foot as you perform the exercise. Stay low the whole time.

This has been a rough week! I think itโ€™s the transition and shifting routines from teacher life to home life. I took another unplanned rest day yesterday ๐Ÿ˜ณ I had a whole bunch of โ€œreasonsโ€ for not working out yesterday (headache, fatigue, flo, etc.), but today those all seem like tired excuses. Iโ€™m so happy I was stronger than my excuses tonight. Been switching up my eating, and my lifting routine and it has been paying its dividends. Have noticed size and strength gains (after falling off for a few weeks).

Iโ€™ve been doing a linear periodization style workout plan. This is when you start the first few (3-4) weeks with high-volume and lower intensity and weight before gradually lowering the volume and increasing the weight and intensity.

Iโ€™m in the 6-8 rep range and was able to put up 195 for 6 at 168lbs for my last set. Booty popped up a little bit though. Pretty happy with my progression and excited for whatโ€™s to come.

2๏ธโƒฃ Grip the rings and lean back until your arms are straight.
3๏ธโƒฃ Keep your body straight and pull your chest up towards the rings as high as you can.
4๏ธโƒฃ Contract your muscles at the top of the exercise and then slowly lower yourself back down to the starting position. That is one full repetition.
