I think it's super important to be aware of the expectations we set for ourselves! .
Especially when it comes to achieving progress, continuously over time! But really with anything in life! .
Ensure your expectations are in line with your work and effort you are putting in, you can't expect to achieve something, or be disappointed that you aren't achieving goals you have set out, if you aren't putting the work in continuously. Ensure they are realistic to your lifestyle, and that they are in line with whatever you want to achieve with your goals, life, career. .
If you want to achieve big things, then I think you should expect a lot from yourself! Expect to prioritise your health and fitness, expect to get your training in even on days your not feeling it, be on point with your nutrition, expect to have late nights, and make many sacrifices for were you want to be. .
Whatever the goal is you have, I think there is only one person stopping you, and that's you, raise your expectations you have if you want to get certain results from yourself, never ever stop learning, have a vision and put the work in β€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

This week Meal Prep:
LowCarb Beef stew with carrot+broccoli+peas
Korean bulgogi seasoned chicken +oven roasted Brussels sprouts +1/2 tangerine +1/2cup strawberry
Grilled steak with sriracha sauce + quinoa + roasted Brussels sprouts
Fruit Bowl: mango+strawberry ?Boiled chickpeas .

Make-Ahead Oatmeal Jar ~1/2cup oat+dried fruits+1T flaxseed meal+1T nuts~Store jars in pantry until ready to eat.
Heat instructions: In a small bowl, combine contents of jar with 1/2 - 2/3 cups of boiling water. Stir. Add honey or maple syrup if you desired.
.*You can also make them into overnight oats by in a 16 oz jar, add all the ingredients (including cold water or milk) close jar and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Before serving, microwave 2 mins. -

I did not add pepper jack and I substituted for my Mrs. dash Garlic & herbs seasoning instead of the green onions. This was so good, I had seconds!

I'm still eating keto over here folks πŸ™ŒπŸΌ allowed myself some carbs last week just to change things up. Only ate healthy carbs during the week, despite being sick. Over the weekend, I allowed myself "food freedom" which included; 1 Mcdonald's kids meal, taco Bell nachos with water, 1 scoop of Oreo ice cream, & 1 medium sized plate from the Chinese buffet πŸ’β€β™€οΈ Being 5 months into this, I needed a little break to allow myself the things I restrict. If I eat the foods I want occasionally, it helps keep me aligned. I don't feel so restricted that I end up feeling deprived...when that happens, I find myself losing sight of my goals and discouraged.
If you splurged this weekend, brush it off. It's OKAY! Part of life is finding joy in food (healthy & unhealthy). Gathering with friends and the people you love is one of the the finer things in life and doing it at a place of common ground (such as a church pot luck or a fine steak house) is fun & enjoyable. This is so true! I’ve really found it difficult to find consistency with my training. For example - the week before last I trained 6 days, and then last week I trained only once..... and todays BEARS Cardio session was hard because of it! It felt like my first day back again!

I Love training, it’s not as though I make excuses but I’m not as strong and strict to get it done, if I knock off work later or I have something to do or somewhere to be I just say I’ll go the next day but then that might happen again. Unless you make it your focus or a priority it will always be this way.
.
This week and the next few weeks I’m really going to make training a priority, always getting in 5 or 6 sessions and I know after a few weeks of focusing on that as a main then it will become more of a habit and only normal that I do it daily.

*kaldu jamur

Cara membuat:
Tumis bumbu yang telah dihaluskan hingga harum, masukkan udang tumis hingga matang masukkan garam, gula, kaldu jamur. Test rasa klu sudah pas, terakhir baru masukkan petai lalu perasin air jeruk nipis.
Aduk rata hingga petai mulai masak, angkat dan sajikan.

The term COACH means different things to different people.

A coach in our eyes is someone who doesn't just provide you with instructions, they provide you with something you wouldn't get elsewhere.

It could be a work ethic they instill in you. It could be the way they talk to you that just inspires you to get more out of what you do. It could be a quiet word, or even a loud look to help cue you to push on.

They aren't there just for the pay check and the jersey. They are raised to read and understand people. They find a way to tap into even the hardest of shells and make a difference to them. They don't care if only one person is in the room. It's not about numbers, it's about what they do.

You don't remember the puppets. The people who simply pass on instructions that have been passed onto them by others.

But you do remember a coach. Long after you cross paths.

A puppet is waiting by the door with a key in their hand as you finish your workout or session. A coach is talking to you 20 mins after the lights should have gone out about an idea or ideology you both share an interest in.

A COACH is someone who really gives a fuck.

Sorry for the blurry Pic. I regret not taking the time to make it look as delicious as it was.
Something so magical delicious just happened in my kitchen.
I took the asian inspired meat, veggy, glassnoodle base (by now I got more in the freezer) and assembled it on the salad leaf.
Yep, that's almost it. .

Here is the magic:
Homemade chilli oil which on its own turned out amazing and then creativity gave me this
"Hhmmmmmmm-oh-gosh-I-want-more" flavor

My creativity boost:
To the chilli I gave sesame oil and indonesian soy sauce (ketjap Manis).
Killer seriously.

Hot and spicy with an amazing depth to it combined with sweet soy sauce and sesame oil. O M G

On a lettuce with crunch and cooling and the base of minced meat with Glasnoodles. .
Right I can hear you already..... Who has time for that.

Remember:
* the base is ready made in the freezer, just throw it in the microwave or pan * salad doesn't even need to be chopped. If you washed it Already - just get it out of the fridge * oil keep for quite some time - drizzle it on.

Can you see how some preparation goes a long way?

People at work often say "you always bring you're own food, you're so organised" usually whilst tucking in to something they just grabbed quickly from the shop or the nearest SubwayπŸ₯™πŸ”πŸŸFood prep is built up to be something far more difficult and time consuming than it really is and frankly, buying lunch every day is expensive...in reality all we are doing is cooking an evening meal like everyone else, with a little extra for the next day. If we have chips or sweet potato with our dinner, we'll take a microwave rice to go with lunch so it's not exactly the same meal. And when it looks this good⬆️⬆️it's easy to get excited about lunch the next day!
