Oreo Macaroons with an Oreo buttercream filling
This is the first time me aging egg whites because I have been too impatient to wait 2-4 days just to make it. The purpose of aging is to relax the egg white and it helps to prevent over whipping the meringue. It actually took much longer to get stiff peaks. The outcome, not great. It didn’t grow the feet, which have no idea why. Overall, 7/10, but I would use a different recipe for this.
