Please join us to welcome 13-year-old Gabby, who was diagnosed with Metastatic Osteosarcoma just 5 months ago... Since her diagnosis, this courageous girl has spent over 100 nights in hospital, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and Easter. During this time, she has endured 11 rounds of chemotherapy, 4 MRIS, 4 chest CTs, and has received over 120 pokes, blood draws, port accesses and shots.
In December, Gabby underwent major surgery to remove her tumor. In the operation, surgeons had to remove the bones in her knee and 6 inches of her femur, which was replaced with a titanium prothesis.
As a result, Gabby is now learning to walk again.
But Gabby is one tough cookie…and she WILL NOT let cancer stop her from being a normal kid or take away her "Gabbi-tude". You go girl!
With Great Cycle Challenge kicking off, we wanted to introduce you to one of our VERY special 2018 ambassadors, she’s awesome.
Keep fighting Gabby...we're riding for YOU this June!
