One thing that I do to make sure I take my time eating a meal is to build preparation into it.
With this meal the crackers are broken up rather than whole to stretch the meal out visually (which helps you to feel comfortably full) and I need to put the cheese onto each piece of cracker, which builds in time for me to properly chew my current mouthful before the next one is ready. Chewing your food properly before swallowing is important.
