Here’s to making Wednesday’s a little bit extraordinary.
Everytime I step foot in the river, a peace washes over me. Each day the level rises or falls leaving a ever changing ecosystem. Love all the new life water and rain can bring. These streamside flowers really brightened my day when the fishing was mediocre last week.
sail forth- steer for the deep waters only. reckless o soul, exploring. i with thee and thou with me. for we are bound where mariner has not yet dared go. and we will risk the ship, ourselves, and all//walt whitman//
Been a minute. She asked and picked the trail.. but DONT TAKE MY PICTURE!
I didnt take phone yesterday. Dont know how i could show you here.. up 2000 feet on a knife edge and things went from blue to white out 70mph snow n rain.. 20 minutes hunkered down and walm off.. she asked if i was bored squeezed between the cliff and a dead tree.. i told her about watching the lichens get wet.. and the 20 diff micro flora alpine plants getting a drink as the rocks cracks ran wet... Amazing what the right crag can do to shelter #mountainlife #trailfamily #daddydaughtertime #Wasatch #Bellscanyon #gotakeahike #livelife #lifeisgood
My favorite tree/bush is blooming This is the first spring with a camera in my hand where I've been more cognisant of the growth cycles. Anyone else?
8 mile confidence run completed! ♀️Finally feeling race ready this weekend! This morning brought me back to when I would stay overnight at Northwestern Memorial while visiting my mom in the hospital. I’d get up early, run, pray, and be so grateful. Hopefully we never have to go thru that again! Love you mom! Anyone else doing the Soldier Field 10 miler this weekend?
It's time to hike! Our final FREE group hiking day will be on Saturday, June 2 at Mount Cheaha! This program is free to attend, but we do ask that you sign up online at http://cullmanrecreation.org so we'll have a headcount of how many to expect!
