This is one of the things I have struggled with as a teenager. I didn't feel goth enough to be comfortable in my own skin. When I wore a makeup that didn’t look like an evil queen, I wasn’t feeling entitled to call myself a goth. Only, and only when I wore tons of makeup and expencive gothic clothing I felt I could feel goth enough to use the hashtag #goth . Then I felt accepted and unique.
It took me years and years to figure out that goth isn't only about makeup, fashion and music. It's more like a feeling. A lifestyle. Every little aspect together all in all. It's in my bones and in my heart, the oddly gothy feeling. I am drawn to everything dark and ooky-spooky.
Don't let society pressure you into thinking you aren't goth enough or YOU ENOUGH to feel accepted as you are. Withouth any makeup and filters or with makeup you are justified to be just the way you are or call yourself whatever the hell you want.
We all look different without makeup. Accept everything about yourself and be damn proud of it! Learn to love and understand that you are accepted just the way you are. U are unique just being you!
