A week ago we opened #Grease. It honestly feels almost like it was a dream, or that it was so long ago...and then in the same moment, I can't believe that it's all over and I don't get to see this stupidly talented cast again this weekend for another round of shows.
Sometimes shows run their course, and you're grateful for the experience, but ready to move on to the next opportunity. I've had plenty of those types of shows. But then there are the shows (and casts) that burrow so deep into your heart that you wish they'd last forever. Or at least a year. I could have watched these kids and this show forever. I tried to tell them as often as possible how much they meant to me. I hope they truly know how much that is--to the moon and back, at least twice
The cast made me an honorary member of the #PinkLadies with the director gift, which of course was the best culmination of 30 years of loving Grease. Mama Joelle had the most amazing cast party idea, and every single cast member went home with a record featuring their headshot that the cast could sign. I can't wait to have those framed! And for those of you that missed the show, please enjoy one of the most show-stopping numbers (recorded during Tech Sunday Q2Q), #Mooning, with the ever-delightful Parker and Natalie. They brought down the house all 4 performances with this hilarious performance.
Thank you, kids, for the most wonderful summer. I love you all SO MUCH.
