Nothing like truly lifting your clients to a smooth level 9/10. 😍
How many of you are lifting your clients to where they need to be, if not, further? (Of course keeping the integrity of the hair in mind) It’s so important to realize that you should be toning for the solution, and NOT the problem. I always recommend lifting to higher levels (safely and when possible) and toning DOWN, rather than lifting to a level that’s too low and having to figure out how to tone so your clients leave content. Most of the time we rinse out our clients too early because we fear that they will be over processed. But if we take the time to check our foils, remove the ones that are done processing while the others play catch up and remain patient/calm, we can get our clients where they need to be. When lightening, it’s crucial we keep each clients fabric in mind. Porosity, texture and elasticity play a HUGE roll in lightening and if you don’t figure out each one before hand and go in blindly, that’s when over processing can come into play.
Im not saying taking a client that’s 👩🏻 and lifting them to 👩🏼all in one day (unless you can do so safely, depends on the head you’re working on lol), I’m saying that we shouldn’t fear our lighteners or the lightening process. Most of the time we rinse our foils too early instead of checking the clients fabric during the process to see where it’s at. All I’m saying is, don’t over process but don’t under process either!
