Michael Kenji Shinoda was born on February 11, 1977.
Shinoda is an American Musician, Songwriter, Rapper, Singer, Record Producer, and Graphic Designer.
Mike is best known as the co-founder of Linkin Park and is the band's rhythm guitarist, primary songwriter, keyboardist, producer, and lead vocalist. “Minutes to Midnight” is the third Studio Album by Linkin Park, which was released in May, 2007, and was co-produced by Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin.
The Album is band's follow-up to their break through “Meteora” (released in 2003) and features a shift in the group's musical direction, the beginning of a deviation from their signature nu metal sound to a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop standards. Rubin challenged the band and brought more of a stripped down, classic-rock and hip-hop kind of feel.
The album debuted at Number One on the US Billboard 200, and in 15 other countries, including the United Kingdom and Canada. It has become Linkin Park’s most popular album selling more than 20 million copies worldwide!
