I’m teaching my second Mysore Lab today and looking forward to it! I love that Mysore PDY is a big and busy program but I also enjoy teaching in a small group setting. I try to offer the Mysore Lab every over month, but some students have requested that I squeeze in a session in August before I go to Israel. If we can get 8 people together then I will happily offer a Lab the first weekend in August. Who’s interested? Email me email@example.com

Special shout out to the Mongolian Contortion Queens who have mastered, performed, taught and helped craft this art form as it is today. At 80 years old, Norovsambuu, (in the purple pants) is the second modern day Mongolian Contortionist and we were so lucky to go visit her in Mongolia. Angelique was in Mongolia reviving an award for her work in Mongolian Contortion. At 60, she is still performing her one arm handstand! She was @khazu’s teacher so I’m grateful for what she has taught Kevin. Enkhtsetseg who runs Angels Contortion Center in Ulaanbaatar, taught me how to shoot a bow and arrow with my feet. Bud is not pictured here but he runs X-roses Contortion Center in Mongolia and we got to train with him too. And of course always endlessly grateful to Serchmaa, my first coach who taught me for four years and brought us to Mongolia. ********************************* In the second photo is all the students on Serchmaa’s Mongolian Contortion Center Retreat. Take a look at our arms compared to the masters. Obviously, we have some work to do. #mongoliancontortionretreat#mongoliancontortion#mongoliancontortioncenter ********************************** #contortion#circus#mongolian#history#circuseverydamnday#handstand#handstands#handbalance#mongolia#flexible#flexibilitytraining#flexibility#strongwomen#cirquegram
Been forever since I posted anything. So here’s a random #handstand and an update on things that have happened since my last post: I got married (whaaaaaaat), I turned 39(), Nelson started walking(), I started working again (not happy about that yet!) and I’ve not done any yogaprogression what so ever.
How are you doing?! And which yogatransitions are we obsessing about? Fill me in!!

A long time ago I developed a yoga practice. I didn’t care for organized sports (I wasn’t really good at “sports”, and I especially didn’t like to get hit or shoved all in the name of a game- sorry- it’s just me ) but I wanted something... So I forced myself to develop the habit of consistently going, and bending, and pushing myself to oddly shaped limits multiple times a week (now most often done in a room of 100 plus degrees- I know I’m crazy but love it ). Our bodies are one of the best pieces of workout equipment money can’t buy. One of my favorite things about yoga is that I can take it with me anywhere, and it keeps me playing... it keeps me consistently moving and checking in with myself. I am the only tool I will truly ever need. It gives me an excuse to flip, and balance and work on poses, holding them longer in any place I can make space. It is a masterpiece and a work in progress all at once. Other than getting TSA pre-check, developing a love and habit for practicing yoga is truly one of my favorite things I’ve ever done for myself. #TreatYoSelf And you know- it’s also true what they say about it being good for the mind... cause if you twist, flip and pretzel your ass hard enough (all while focusing only on breath and survival) then yea, all that bullshit you were worried about earlier really does go away for a bit. #namaste
Give yourself permission to live a big life. Step into who you are meant to be. Stop playing small. You're created for greater things. Happy weekend OMies!
Get out of your own way. Everything we want is within reach - if we would just stop putting walls up infront of ourselves. Thank you @acroyogacoach for being an incredible coach and for showing me anything is possible
Video of one of my old ice cream maker, performance to improve: Improve the line. Control the movement during the swing.
However I believe it is still important to start testing the movement to start motor learning
Hey guys, happy Saturday! I’m headed back home today from a much needed week at the beach! Although I’m sad to leave, I’m ready to get back in the kitchen and back on track! Running here has been really hard because of the heat and humidity and I’ve also been having some hip pain so I am saving my 14 mile run for tomorrow instead of today hoping for some cooler temperatures and pain relief in my hip, so we will see how that goes haha. Also, really need to work on my handstand skills because it took me way to long to get this picture lol! #handstand#beach#running#runner#marathontraining
