Burning sage is a daily routine of mine // it grounds me, reduces any stress or anxiety, and protects my energy. Once I started doing this daily I realized how easy it is to pick up on other peoples emotions and confuse them as my own. You can also use cedar, lavender, and palo santo wood.
Smudging is a Native North American cleansing technique using smoke from sacred plants to wash away unwanted and impure energies to restore balance to yourself and your environment. I feel it is a beautiful practise and incredibly useful is you are feeling unwell, depressed, angry, resentful, frustrated, or even if you just had an argument with somebody. Especially if you feel negative energy or unwanted spirits. You can also clear negative energy with defusing essential oils (frankincense, lavender sage, mint, lemon, juniper), using high vibrational sounds and music (such as drumming or singing bowls), and also simply by allowing the flow fresh air and natural light open those windows & curtains.. this alone can do wonders!
