Favorite part of weekends in nyc.. exploring new places for my morning matcha 🍵🙂! We found an adorable place call @tap_nyc that’s just a few blocks away with not only some great matcha (🙌🏼) but also some tapioca crepes!! YUM.
.
The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was the cutest with orange kitchenware and appliances, white exposed brick and comfortable pillows on the bench seats. I easily could have hung out there all day if I didn’t have so many errands to run.

Cool finds @costco. Happy to see they’re stocking @birchbenders Paleo pancake mix in a larger size bag 👍 My fav low carb mix when I don’t feel like making from scratch. Clean ingredients and sooooo easy. Just add water 💦 Also bought chia seeds, hemp hearts, and some grain free granola.

Homemade egg noodles because I can-lol. I hadn't made noodles from scratch in ages, so I decided to try this super easy to follow recipe @thespruceeats (thank you!). __

I didn't have a pasta dryer so I made one with bamboo skewers and a deep bowl! It worked 😉. __

Tomorrow is my refeed day so I am going to make nice dinner of slow roasted lemon thyme butterfly chicken and a side of egg noodles and veggies. Plus a dessert. (Gotta get that in. 😋) __

I know some are asking where are the burgers and fries, but I actually enjoy wholesome refeeds like this. I eat very well, don't feel deprived, and I don't go hogwild.
Moderation, not deprivation, is the name of the game. .

Mi parto fue vaginal, sin embargo, creo que me sentiría igual, el día de hoy, si hubiera sido una cesárea. 🙋🏽‍♀️ La mujer, de todas las razas, religiones, posturas políticas, es un ser tan hermoso, complejo y completo. Good morning 🌞. Just made this Pistachio Apricot Cardamom Rice—perfect for the weekend!
.
Check out the recipe! If you like the spices in this recipe double tap the pic and follow our feed😘! Ingredients
3 C jasmine rice
3 3/4 c water
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp ground cardamom
3/4 tsp Cyprus Citron Lemon Flake Sea Salt
4 Tbsp. Olive oil
8 Tbsp Coconut Water
3/4 C chopped Turkish dried apricots
1 1/2 C pistachios
Honey

Method:
In a small sauce pan add coconut water, apricots, pistachios, olive oil, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and salt. Cover & Simmer for 3-5 min until water is absorbed. While this is cooking, in a separate large pot, Add water and rice, cover with tight fitting lid, and bring to full boil. Uncover & add the apricot pistachio mixture and stir. Lower the heat, cover and simmer for 12 min. Stir once during that process.
Remove from heat and let saucepan cool for 5 min, uncover, drizzle honey on top, then fluff rice with a fork & serve. .

▪️Your life experiences, good or bad mold you into the person you are today ▪️

I grew up an introvert and thought my actions could speak for themselves. I never wanted to be the center of attention even though I was a lot of times
-
But one thing I can say that has molded me into somewhat of an extrovert now is I continuously got uncomfortable (which allowed me to grow)
-
💥 I left my starting football 🏈 position to play golf
💥 I learned how to play the 🎷 💥 I competed in oratorical competitions even when I didn’t want to
💥 I left public school to start completely over into a private high school
💥 I left the state of Alabama go to college in Georgia
💥 I majored in one of the hardest subjects (Chemistry)
💥 I was one of the only students who was interested in pharmacy
💥 School was never easy for me, but I did just fine and excelled. I had to WORK, STUDY and STAY UP later than some at times.
💥 In pharmacy school, in began to see the healthcare system I was loved turn on my own family as I experienced my loss for the first time.
-
🌐 I then realized that this life on earth is short and things or people can be taken from you in a second. From that point on i decided to be the antagonist and be on the preventative side of healthcare.
SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT and LET YOUR MISSION/VISION be heard.

This healthy version of chicken salad is good in a whole grain pita or wrap, or right out of the bowl if you want to skip the carbs. My substitute for both mayo and sour cream is always 0% fat Greek yogurt. This creamy dressing is high in protein, probiotic cultures, calcium and B12, and is very versatile.

Here I have chopped up chicken breast, kale, cucumbers, red onion, celery, and carrots, tossed in my healthy dressing with some sriracha sauce and topped with avocado. Make a big batch and store in the fridge for a perfect lunch option for up to 3 days. 🥑🥕🥗🍗🌯
