Today i officially started working on this commissioned drawing, i'm using blackwing palomino pencil over fabriano paper, the drawing is 5.5 x 5.5"
It is really nice to be hired to just make one of my drawings
My reference is a Peter Lindbergh picture, i forget the model's name. And i'm actually using two old pics of myself, for help with the sockets, nodes, nasolabial fold and just the face in general.
My Peter Lindbergh reference is wearing clothes, so i'm gonna have to invent the neck and shoulders. That's what those lines i made are for, to make note of where i think things might be. They're not gonna be there in the finished drawing. So i see sternocleidomastoid, trapezius, deltoid, acromion, probz teres major and part of infraspinatus, and if she was a flayed, rhomboid? We'll see how that goes!
I really like her apprehensive and guarded facial expression, it makes me think we're just getting to know each other so she's suspicious of me like a feral cat, whose trust you have to earn. For that, i'm titling it "lost girl". This might change, but it feels good for now
