When you’re weight training, you want to try and achieve the best results without injuries and not being able to recover from sessions!
Compound lifts are key to filling up your max volume most efficiently♀️! Many people will swap important compound lifts for a lot of light cable work, this would be considered “Junk Volume” since you’re using up all your time on exercises that will impact you the LEAST.
What I’m saying is, please please PLEASE do not neglect your compound moves (especially for legs) such as deadlifts, squats, lunges etc. They are the ones that you can add the most weight to and see the most results from!
I’m not saying cable work is bad, it’s very good for various factors, but it’s not what is going to make you grow. It’s only an accessory to compliment your main exercises!
A good workout plan will have a very good mix of activation, compounds and accessory movements don’t neglect the compounds!!!
