Intuition. Do you follow yours? Do you even hear it? Listening to and following your intuition or inner guide leads to a stress-free and peaceful life. The process of tuning into your intuition is incredibly simple, however, it can also be difficult due to us overthinking it.
At its simplest:
1. Get quiet.
Close your eyes if possible.
2. Focus and ask.
Turn your attention to a situation or thing that you would like some direction on. Ask what to do or what the next step is. Allow your thoughts and feelings to come without judging them or pushing them away.
3. Listen and receive.
Be aware of your surroundings. Be conscious of thoughts and things that cross your path. Don't dismiss that book that opens to the page holding a paragraph that smacks you upside the head with its perfect timing and accuracy. You may not get your answer all at once but rather in pieces.
Do not dismiss anything that feels right but instead trust that the Universe has your best interests as its ultimate priority and that it will not fail to deliver at the precise time that is best for you. Remember that your timing is not that of the Universe and what we THINK is the right time very likely is not.
These are all words for myself as well as I struggle to allow my "~ing" (as Gabby Bernstein puts it), inner guide, intuition, to speak. I am most often too busy allowing myself to feel overwhelmed and stressed out to quiet long enough for Universe to get a word in. Practice makes the change come about through consistently starting over, even if it's every hour on the hour. Cultivate those habits that invite quietness of the mind and openness of the heart and soul. Read personal development, journal, meditate, breathe deeply and slowly, sit with your bare feet connected to the earth (yes, outside), walk in nature without headphones, close your eyes and centre yourself just for two minutes... As you commune with your intuition and allow it to be heard, to guide, and to show you its reliability, the whole course of your day, your week, (or even your year; ha!), your LIFE will change.
I'm still struggling with self and ego but little by little, ~ing is gaining ground.
