As some of you might know, I recently had to take a step back from boutique classes and save some cash money. I have been off the bike for all of May until today.

I was so amped to take class @cycfitness (also talk about saving Benjamins 🤑) but as soon as class started I felt off. Three weeks ago I felt great in spin class, even doing doubles, upping my weights and checking out my new muscles. Today I felt like I was in someone else’s body, on the wrong foot all of class.

I want to thank @asalbert for not letting the class be a failure for me. I fell flat on my face so to say, and even ended up choked up with tears as I left the studio. But I know that Aaron believes in all of his riders, and I know that he’ll be there to cheer everyone on whether it’s a good ride or a real challenge to get through class. Thanks for the “motivational bullshit”, it really helped this rider today 🙏🏼

Spent the weekend watching fairytales (couldn’t get enough of the royal wedding) and then caught up on sleep. Prepped yesterday in moderation. I find I can’t get through all the food and I end up wasting good veggies. I froze some stuff this week and I made a recipe from @leahitsines. It’s SOOOO good and being tired this wknd I totally craved comfort food. This hit the spot and was so easy to make. I have some leftover for later in the week and some in the freezer for when I don’t have time to prep.
Workouts planned for week 3 - combo of running and SWEAT looking at starting PWR with @kelseywells...Maybe this week, definitely next. Now I’m just

My current enemy. A big shitload of Cadbury Furry Friends ready to be unleashed at my daughter’s 1st birthday party in 2 weeks. They are oh so delicious and I’m no gonna lie, the jar “may” have been slightly fuller a week ago. But now I’ve put it away, high up where it’s too hard to easily get to. hiiii I have an exciting fitness update! I’ll forever come back to bbg buuut I’ve been following @sarahs_day (and listening to @the.healthcode) for a few weeks now and her positivity and enthusiasm are contagious - I bought her e-book and am gonna do her 8 week guide! 1st workout is done ✅ and it was killer in the best way. Can’t wait to see how the 8 weeks go!

Homemade Vanilla protein squares
▶️1 cup pitted dates
▶️1/2 cup almonds
▶️1/2 cup cashews
▶️1 scoop of vanilla protein (whey/vegan - I used garden of life protein)
▶️1 tsp vanilla extract
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until it becomes a thick paste. Add a tiny bit of water (only if you need to).
Once done you can put it into moulds or just mould them into a ball, then refrigerate. Voila!
This is an excellent snack or pre workout. You can even add just peanuts instead of cashews & almonds (I prefer the almonds cause other I feel like everything tastes like Reese's peanut butter cups 😝)
So next time you have some time try this, it will save you $20 for those 12 bars you buy every fortnight. One of the absolute hardest things for me is trying not to compare myself and my life to those around me, in my fitness journey and in life in general. Over the past couple of years I’ve watched so many of my friends get married, buy houses, have babies, (build a solid saving account lol), etc. With Chris being back in school we’re not in the right place in our lives for those things. But it sucks wanting to be there so badly and knowing it’s not our time yet. I’m trying to focus on the positives and slay life, but sometimes it’s tough not to compare. I just took my 4 week progress pictures and don’t see much improvement which is also getting me down. I keep comparing myself to me from 2 years ago and beating myself up for not making progress as quickly as I did in 2016. My body is different and I’m different. I need to go easy on myself. •

For some reason this stuff has been on my mind the past few days and I can feel it overpowering my happiness and weighing me down. I’m going to go blast some music and crush out a leg workout to try to get my head back on straight and focus on my purpose.

🌤️👊🏼💧 Morning babes! I got my leg day on in the freezing cold (getting out of bed was so damn hard) but it never stays cold for very long 😂 High knee runs & lay down knee ups will do that to you! ☠️🔥☠️ Today is also going to be another double ✌🏼 & I’m going to do on a run at lunch. I’m a little nervous because I’m on week 10 of my training app so everything is going 🆙 but I’m going to trust my body & not my mind that is doubting me already!! 🤯✖️

Also - I have just started week 3 of my 7 week challenge 👏🏼👏🏼 & im feeling great ✔️ I am down 3.1kg, with another 4.1kg to get to my goal. I am happy, my head is feeling strong & I’m trusting the process. I know I’m doing all the right things so I just gotta keep doing this & I’ll get to wherever my body wants to take me (even if it’s not to the 4.1kg mark). As the days & weeks fly by I’m getting soooooo excited for the end. My 10 week European honeymoon is waiting for me with open arms 🤣❤️🌙 Aaaahhhhh bring it on babyyyyy!!! 🙌🏼
