I am a mom of 4 kids - 3 boys and one teenage daughter.
Two of the boys are polar opposites and one is a hybrid - at least as far as I can tell at this point. My boys fight A LOT. I mean, I think they argue more than the average siblings and I genuinely work hard at keeping the peace, but when personality differences collide sometimes there's no stopping them ♀️
We take them to church, we preach kindness and love, we discipline, we pray, we model what getting along looks like (most of the time ) yet still they are their own little people with their own moods, interests, and drives. .
Summer is tough as a mom, right? You have all these idealistic expectations of free days and free time and just fun together, or at least I do. I feel like I spend more time correcting than enjoying because one is always instigating the other to get mad or upset... but yesterday on the boat - I caught a sweet glimpse of a big brother helping pull his little brother out of a tough spot. It made my heart happy to see that! Deep down, they are hearing what we're saying. They are listening. The days are long but the years are short. .
We've got this, Moms! Let's keep loving them up so they can live it out when we’re not looking!
