Photo by @FransLanting Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day—a moment to be grateful for everything the Earth does for us. Without forests exhaling oxygen and water our lives would wither fast. With every breath we take we inhale a bit of our living planet. We are all connected; let’s make every day Earth Day. Follow us @ChristineEckstrom and @FransLanting to learn more about our living planet. @ThePhotoSociety @world_wildlife @conservationorg #EarthDay #EarthDayEveryDay #Gratitude #Forests

With My Son | Photograph by Stefan “Fuarce” Zocca (@stefano.zocca)
“At almost 60 years of age, it [was] not easy to decide to again face the huge adventure that I had taken as a young man,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Stefano Zocca. “Last fall with my second son, I made the decision and together we faced the difficult climb to the Bell Tower of Val Montanaia, the most famous peak of the Fruilian Dolomites, and slept in the bivouac that lies just below. The moment of dinner, alone in the immensity of the starry sky, was a magical experience that we will keep in our heart forever.”

“I love it Stefano. I love the experience you documented. Great use of available light. Then after reading your caption, and learning the story behind the photo, I love this frame even more. I can only imagine how beautiful this moment was for you — and your son. I love that you shared this adventure with him. I bet it was so special. Thank you for sharing this photo and story with us. Well done. Very, very well done.” — @natgeoyourshot Producer David Y. Lee (@davidylee)

In honor of #EarthDay, the goal is to take photos and videos inspired by the natural world for #WHP🌲, like this purple beauty from Rubén Lombardozzi (@rubenslombardo).
Get outside. Whether you hike in a city park or escape away to a lake for the weekend, show us how Mother Earth comes to life in your corner of the world. Pull back your images to show the grandeur of the landscape. Include people in the frame for scale.
Look for ways that nature emerges in everyday urban scenes — think vines crawling up an old brick factory building, or birds perched along the balcony railings overlooking the farmers market.
Follow the light. The sun gives the world a magical glow, especially in the early morning blue hour or the late afternoon golden hour.
PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHP🌲 hashtag only to photos and videos shared over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video shared over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.

Original series with @natalyosmann. Remembering the best and favourite ones that I took and posting them. Our project is 7 years old and whole generation has changed since the beginning. Have you seen this one before?

#followmeto Hollywood, which was one of the most extreme photos we ever took. It was the time, when I surprised Nataly with a helicopter without doors :) #следуйзамной к Голливудским Холмам. Наш проект существует уже 7 лет и за это время сменилось целое поколение. Нам интересно - видели ли вы эту фотографию раньше? :)

Now through April 28th, you can collect hand signed prints from your favorite Nat Geo photographers. The museum quality, 8x10 signed prints have been curated to honor the world's wildlife and wild places in honor of Earth Day, April 22nd.
