Honestly, this is not a common delicacy that is readily available in SIngapore. Usually, these are either homemade and are commonly found in wedding events or in Ramadhan iftar session in hotels.
However, when this does appear, this serawa durian would usually be taken up fast.
So what is Serawa Durian really?
It is made up of santan, durian flesh, some salt, palm or white sugar and scented with daun pandan. It will be mixed together and cooked over a flame till the mixture gets thickened up.
This will then be served with glutinous rice, roti jala, serabai or simply with just bread.
Watch out for our next video to show the thickening up process.
