I think it's easy to look back on your childhood and think about the arguing with siblings, getting yelled at by your parents, crying over things that have absolutely no matter in your life now.
As an adult you can also see everything in a new light, like actually starting to understand why your parents did the things they did.
Understanding why they were stressed when they had four little girls screaming at each other because someone went in the other person's room.
My childhood was really hard at times but every person in the world can say that.
Even though there were a lot of things that had a big impact on my nine year old self, I now am able to look back and see how amazingly lucky I was.
My mother and father always made it a point, wherever we moved, we would always be right by the water.
From Portage Lake, to Belews, and then to that terrifying one in Florida that had so much seaweed and aligators then BACK to Belews. Out on the water was where all of my favorite memories were made.
I am so thankful and blessed to have had such an amazing childhood.
Also, @mrs.jess.skinner , I'm sorry for throwing your Kelly doll into the canal.
I shouldn't have done that.
