Spotted: three young desi boys sitting at the edge of a fountain in their cute little kurtas.
I approach the boys and ask if I can take their picture. The eldest brother, who’s holding his baby brother quickly responds with a “no nooo no” and walks away with baby bro in hand, leaving his other bro behind.
By this time their Mum has returned so I ask her and she approves, but only the middle brother wants his pics taken. Now I’m excepting him to be all shy, BUT NAH he starts posing, gets up and walks on the edge of the fountain being a little model!
After taking his pics, I say my Salaams and walk up the stairs. As I turn around, I see this little man still walking on the edge and catch the moment he was about to fall in. You best know his mom pulled him down and started scolding him. I couldn’t hear what she was saying, but I promise her Urdu probably switched to Punjabi real quick!
Anyways, this interaction reminded me of my siblings and how they would react the same way in this situation. Somia, being the eldest, would say no and walk away with me in hand. Marriyah, being the middle child, would stay and be extra af for the camera and proceed to get yelled at by Mama when she inevitably does something wrong. #BTSwithFatimah #ChaalFatimahDeNaal #NowThisIsPakistanStreetStyle #MuslimsofTheWorld1 #ThisIsLondon #IGotLondonSkills #LondonReviewed
